PRESENTATION

The International Laboratory for the Promotion of Good Treatment and Child Participation, the Faculty of Teacher Training at the University of Extremadura (Spain), the Independent Council for Child Protection (International Scientific and Professional Society), the Childhood, Culture, and Education Association, and the Extremadura Research Group on Theory and History of Education, within the framework of the International Project "Gira con la Infancia 2025", present the VII World Congress on Childhood and Adolescence, titled "Educating for Peace," which will take place online from November 20 to 28, 2025.

After the successful 2024 edition, which was held in an in-person format, the congress returns entirely to its online format. This new edition continues the commemorations, as it marks the 10th Anniversary of the International Project "Gira con la Infancia", through which children and adolescents actively participate in the congress.

For this seventh edition, ten universities from different countries have joined the organization of the event, including the University of La Salle in Colombia, collaborating for the second consecutive year. New partners include:

  • University of Piura (Peru) – through the Institute of Family Sciences

  • Federal University of São Paulo (Brazil)

  • National University of Costa Rica – through the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies on Childhood and Adolescence

  • Catholic University of Uruguay

  • University of Azuay (Ecuador)

  • Sakarya University (Turkey)

  • San Sebastián University (Chile)

  • Lusíada University of Porto (Portugal) – through the Research Group of Investigação em Direitos das crianças e Proteção Infantil do Centro de Investigação em Psicologia para o Desenvolvimento

During nine days, the congress will feature the active participation of children, adolescents, teachers, parents, university students, researchers, and experts with significant recognition in the field of childhood and adolescence. With a presentation-debate methodology, each participant will share their knowledge and contribute to the global scientific community.

The central theme of this edition is "Educating for Peace," along with sixty other topics of interest, through which proposals can be submitted to participate in various seminars.

The VI World Congress included 300 presentations and over 400 children, adolescents, and adults from Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. Previous editions can be viewed in the different playlists available on the "Gira con la Infancia" YouTube channel.

Join us! We look forward to receiving your proceeding proposal once again this year!
